A
class room is the place where classes are held for teaching students. I am a
student of class sseven. My class room is in the ground floor of our school. It faces the south. It is a spacious room. It
is fifty feet long and forty feet wide in size. It has two doors and four
windows. So, light and air can easily enter the
room. The room is well electrified with four fans and two tube
lights. There are thirty benches for the seating arrangement of the students.
There is a raised platform with a table and a chair for the teacher. A black
board is fixed to the wall. As soon as our
teachers discipline in the classroom, we never make a noise in the class. We
like our classroom most because it is the best learning place. We keep
our class room neat and clean.
Morality
shop is a new idea in our country. There will be no shopkeeper in a morality
shop. The price of each item will be written on a small piece of paper. This
price tag will be attached to the item. A buyer will pick an item he likes and
put the money in the box kept there. If anybody takes anything without paying
for it then it will be stealing. Conscience will forbid him to do it.
Conscience is something in our mind. It tells us right or wrong of our actions.
Stealing is a wrong thing and our Conscience will stop us. So customers will
pay for things at morality shop.
We
enjoyed our annual prize-giving day on 20th December in 2013. It was
a school holiday. We passed the day having no routine work. We arranged the
function in our school auditorium. So we decorated our auditorium colourfully.
Our local college principal was the chief guest. Other guests were some eminent
persons and the guardians. The prizes were displayed on a separate table on the
dais. The function started with the national anthem. The headmaster read out the
annual report. The chief guest made a golden speech. Then he gave away the
prizes among the students. I got two prizes for bright result and another for
regular attendance. At last, the headmaster thanked everybody and declared the
end of the function.
Air
pollution means the ways in which the air is polluted. Air is the most
important element of human environment. Man cannot live a single moment without
air. But we do not think that it is we who pollute this most vital element.
Clean air is essential for life. Air is polluted in many ways. For example
smoke pollutes air. Man makes fires to cook his food, to make bricks burns
refuse, melts pitch for road construction and burns wood. All these things
produce heavy smoke and this smoke pollutes air. Another example is that
railway engines, power houses, mills and factories use coal and oil. Moreover,
buses trucks and cars use petrol and diesel oil. Again all these things create
smoke and cause air pollution. Furthermore, the most serious air pollution
occurs in big industrials areas where there are many mills and factories. Again
serious air pollution also occurs in big cities where there are many buses,
trucks and cars playing the street every day. Sometimes men in big industrial
area become so sick by inhaling polluted air that they cannot be cured. So,
proper measures and steps should be taken to prevent air pollution.
Global
warming is a gradual increase in the temperature of the earth all around the
world. It is caused due to the greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, CFCs,
etc. There are various types of pollutants also which involved in increasing
the temperature of the earth. Increasing use of fossil fuels by the people
causes greenhouse effect. Deforestation is increasing carbon dioxide emissions
which trap heat and cause greenhouse effect. Water vapor is also a significant
greenhouse gas which is indirectly involved in global warming. A slight
increase of carbon dioxide level causes marked increase of temperature. The
effects of increased global temperature are melting ice, warmed continents,
increasing sea level, climate changes, etc. In order to reduce the effect of
global warming, effective societal responses are needed to be implemented and
followed urgently.
Climate change is the most pressing issue at the
moment over the world. The cause of climate change can be divided into two
categories those are due to natural causes and those are created by
men. Global warming is the main natural reason and using harmful
chemicals in everyday life the main reason created by man. The climate is
changing rapidly that result in the rise of the earth’s average temperature.
The global climate change and its consequences are leaving a bad impact on the
developing countries to face natural calamities and poverty. Climate
change impacts include temperature rise, greenhouse and carbon dioxide gas
emissions, erratic rainfall, salinity intrusion, rise of floods, cyclones,
storm surges and drought, ice sheets melting which will seriously affect the
agriculture and livelihood, especially at the poor. Bangladesh, for
its geographical locations, is likely to be the most affected. The
developed nations, which are more responsible for such climate changes, should
take responsibilities to protect the victimized countries. The Maldives is
also one of the worst victims of climate change. A one-meter sea-level rise
will submerge about one-third of the total area of Bangladesh,
which will uproot 25-30 million people of Bangladesh. These people will
become refuges of climate change. To reduce the bad impact of climate change
people should be aware. Tree plantation can reduce global warming which is the
main natural reason of climate change. Stop using harmful chemicals can reduce
environmental pollution which is the main man made reason of climate change.
Students should be careful to protect the environment and raise awareness. Thus
students can play a vital role to reduce bad impact of climate change.
There are many things which pollute the environment.
Air is polluted bydifferent

is polluted by rotten trash andchemical elements. Sound is polluted when it is used beyond
its capable power. Smoke pollutes air by melting pitch, emitting from motor
vehicles. Mills and factories pollute water by throwing their industrialdischargeinto river, canal etc. Water can also
be polluted bychemicalsused for cultivation.Environmental
pollutionis injurious
because it affects human lives dangerously. We shall have to take some
effective steps against it. Air, water and sound should be made free form all
kind misuse. It is the best time to save the environment, save the lives.
A
person who sells various types of things by moving from street to street is
called a street hawker. He is a self-employed person. He walks along roads and streets from dawn to dusk. He is a man of dignity because he earns his bread by means of his honest toil. Everyone knows him very well in towns and village. He carries his materials on head,
hands or in a bag. He sells toys, cosmetics, clothes, utensils, etc. He works
hard but his income is very poor. He leads a simple life. However, as a whole, a street hawker should never be
neglected. We should respect his hard labor and never look down upon him.
No man can live without friends. I have many
friends but Palash is my best friend. He is my classmate. Polash lives in the
same village as me. His house is not far from mine. Polash is very fond of me.
He is honest and polite. We meet daily and pass time playing. His father
is a farmer. He is a man of honour. Palash is my best friend.
The
name of our school is St.AlfredsHigh School. It was
situated beside Barisal-Borguna High way in 1933. It has three buildings and a
large field. The main building is U shaped one. Our school has three sections
for every class and more rooms for office, staffs and a library room. The
school sits at 8.30 am and brakes up at 2.00 pm. There are 2000 students and 50
teachers in our school. I am proud to be a student of this school.
Daily life means the routine of daily activities. I
get up early in the morning. Being fresh I say my prayer. Then I go out for a
walk. I return home and make my lessons. I take my breakfast at 7.00 am and
start for my school. Our school sits at 8.30 am. I always sit in the first
bench. I return home at 2.30 pm. Then I have my lunch and take rest. At 4.30 pm
I go out for playing with my friends. In the evening I sit for study. I go on
with my study upto 10.00 pm.Then I take
my supper and go to bed.
Hygiene means to keep
ourselves, our home and workplaces clean. It is important for our good health.
Nobody likes an unclean person. So we should follow the rules of hygiene. We
should have a bath every day to keep our body clean. This will keep the body
free from dirt and bacteria. We should wash our clothes regularly. It is
important to wash our hands before meals and after using the toilets. We should
brush our teeth. We should also cut our nails regularly. Our drinking water
must be pure. Moreover, we should keep our surroundings and environment neat
and clean. If we do and follow all the above things properly, we will be able
to lead a healthy and happy life.
My
first day at school was very pleasant. I
woke up early in the morning. I had a bath and put on my best clothes. Then I
had breakfast and started for school with my father. Then my heart was beating
fast. My father took me to the headmaster. The headmaster was a very nice
person. He asked me some questions.I
answered them nicely. Then my class teacher took me to my class. All the
students were staring at me. I felt a little nervous but I was trying to be
easy. I could make friends with others who sat close to me. I will remember the day as long as I live.
A railway station is a very important place for
railway communication. It is a place where trains stop at and start from. The
passengers of a train get into or get down from a train at a railway station.
There are ticket counters, a booking office for goods, the station master’s
room, some tea stalls, other stalls, etc. in a railway station. In every
railway station, there are two or more railway lines. Near the station, there
are two signal posts with red and green signals. Just outside the station,
there are stands for rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, and other vehicles. Before the
arrival of a train, the passengers collect their tickets standing in a queue.
When a train arrives, the station becomes busy and noisy. Some passengers get
into the train and some passengers get down from it. When it leaves the
station, it becomes calm and quiet.
Water
is polluted in many ways. We are greatly responsible for water pollution. Man
pollutes water by throwing different wastes into rivers. Farmers use chemical fertilizers and these chemicals get mixed with rain water cause water
pollution. Mills and factories throw away their waste materials into the rivers
and canals and cause water pollution. Moreover, unsanitary latrines also
pollute water. Water pollution can be prevented in many ways. Water pollution
always threatens the existence of human lives on earth.
International
mother language day, popularly known as ‘Shaheed Dibas’ is a red letter day in
our history. In 1952, on this day a number of our brave sons laid down their
lives for the cause of Bangla language. The UNESCO declared 21st February
as the day international Mother Language Day showing respect to the martyrs of
our language movement. Now the whole world observes the 21st February as
International Mother Language Day. Hundreds of people bare-footed and
gather in front of The Shaheed Minar with flowers and garlands. The government,
different organizations and institutions arrange programmes to celebrate the
day. It is our national holiday. Our national flag is kept hoisted half most on
this day.
My
name is Mahinur Akter Monika. I am 13 years old. I live in Dhaka
city. I am a student of class 7. I read in ShahajuddinSarkerModelSchool.
My school starts at 8 am and finishes at 1 p.m. I am studying Bangla, English,
Math, Social science, General science, Religion in the school. I go to school
on foot and return home by rickshaw. All the teachers at my school are very
friendly and helpful. I love my school very much. I live with my parents. I
have one brother and one sister. They are students too. My father is a
businessman. My mother is a housewife. On holidays, she cooks special dishes.
She works at home. My hobby is gardening. I work in my garden in the afternoon.
I enjoy cricket very much. During leisure, I read novels, story books an watch
T.V. I always help the poor. I teach the illiterate when I go to my village
home during holidays.
Eve-teasing
is the most arising subject in recent on the media and everywhere in the world. Every day it is present in the newspapers. It is a matter where the girls are
abased by the boys. Here boys use bad language to the girls. And girls silently hate them without taking any kind of revenge. In naturally his
violations reach the girls to suicide. She take the decision to killed herself
only for this insult. This Eve-teasing violations are very hateful issue for
the society. In presently government and many organizations are coming ahead
for prevent the bitter matter. But it is still in our society. For removing it
forever from the society everybody should careful about it. Everybody should
behave each other like brother and sister. Here religion rules can contribute a
lot. So we should obey our religious rules. And after all we should come
forward to remove it from our society. If anybody makes this again they should
be punished for their deeds. And we should take immediate action to them if anybody makes this violation. If we can go this action then we will be able to
remove this issue from our society forever.
The
man who pulls rickshaw for money is called a rickshaw puller. A rickshaw puller
is a familiar figure in cities and towns. He lives in a slum. His dress is very
simple. His income is very poor. He has no rickshaw of his own. He works hard.
He is seen carrying passengers in all weathers good and bad. He bargains
with his passengers. He demands more when the weather is very hot. Sometimes he
tries to cheat passengers. But most often he is cheated by passengers. He is
seen sleeping on his rickshaw under a tree. Though he drives rickshaw from
morning till late night, he leads a miserable life. His life is full of
sorrows and sufferings. He can not enjoy peace and happiness. If he earns more,
his happiness knows no bound.
A
man who leads his life by catching and selling fishes is known as fisherman.
Generally he lives in the rural area near the rivers, the big canals, marshy
lands and the seas. He is hard-working and painstaking. He uses nets and boats
in fishing. Some fishermen have nets but no boats. A fisherman is always at
work. While at home he repairs his boats or nets and he paints his boats or
dyes his nets. He works hard all day and night. The life of a fisherman
is very risky and challenging because there may have storms and cyclones at any
time. When he catches a lot of fish, his joy knows no bounds Government should
take some steps for the development of minimum standard of their livelihood.
They should be given much opportunity to lead a happy and comfortable life.
