My favourite hobby

Hobby means an interesting occupation pursued for recreation. It is not ones main business but it helps us to lead a happy life. So everyone should have a hobby.

There are various kinds of hobbies. Some like collecting stamps, gardening, fishing and so on. But my hobby is gardening. I have a garden in front of my reading room. Every day I work there for an hour in the afternoon. I take care of my garden. I weed out grass and water the plants. I do some physical works here which make me healthy.

There are many flower plants in my garden. Such as rose, champa, bele, kabiri etc.  They spread sweet smell in the air. My garden looks very charming. I use a portion of my garden to grow vegetables. My parents become happy to have fresh vegetables.

My garden is a source of joy for me. It helps me to forget the troubles of life.
